MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM -Menyambut Hari Jadi Sumut ke 76, PJ Gubernur Sumut Dr Hassanudin diwakili Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Provinsi Sumatra Utara, Arief Sudarto Trinugroho bersama nyonya dan Kepala Dinas Pendidikan Propsu Ir.Abdul Haris Lubis menyambangi Yayasan Sinar Agape di Jl.Panglima Denai No.18, Medan Amplas, Kamis (18/4).
Kedatangan orang ketiga di Pempropsu itu sebagai ucapan syukur dengan Hari Ulang Tahun ke 76 Sumatera Utara, sekaligus memberikan bantuan kepada anak-anak Yayasan Sinar Agape yang sudah 15 tahun berdiri.
Pada kesempatan itu, Sekda Propsu memberikan bantuan berupa sembako dan buku, yang akan digunakan anak-anak yayasan di Taman Bacaan Masyarakat (TBM) Alpin.
Suasana haru menyelimuti acara pertemuan yang mana seorang bapak mendatangi anak-anaknya yang membutuhkan perhatian.
Kedatangan Sekda Propsu Arief Sudarto Trinugroho dan rombongan disambut Ketua Yayasan Sinar Agape, Ny.A Siahaan/Dra.Libora Lumbantoruan dan para pengurus yayasan. Tak ayal, dalam pertemuan yang singkat itu, Sekda menyempatkan diri menyalami anak-anak asuhan Yayasan Sinar Agape dan Poto bersama.
Pada kesempatan itu, Ketua Yayasan Sinar Agape Ny.A Siahaan/Dra Libora Lumbantoruan mengucapkan ribuan terimakasih atas kedatangan Sekda dan rombongan.
“Kami pengurus yayasan dan anak-anak mengucapkan ribuan terimakasih yang mana dengan kesibukan bapak dan ibu masih menyempatkan diri datang melihat dan memberikan bantuan kepada anak-anak asuhan Yayasan Sinar Agape, semoga kedatangan bapak dan ibu ke yayasan ini menjadi penyemangat dan motivasi bagi kami untuk terus berkarya sebagaimana motto: Bermartabat, Berkarya dan Mandiri,” ucap Dra Libora Lumbantoruan.
Ny A Siahaan/Dra Libora br Lumbantoruan menjelaskan sekilas berdirinya Yayasan Sinar Agape.
Dengan kondisi serba kekurangan, yayasan Sinar Agape telah berdiri sejak 15 tahun lalu dengan 600 anak asuh terdiri anak balita, anak jalanan, anak putus sekolah, Lansia dan masyarakat miskin perkotaan.
Adapun program yang dilakukan di Yayasan Sinar Agape, jelas Dra Libora Br Lumbantoruan, antara lain program pendidikan nonformal kesetaraan Paket A,B,C.
Kemudian, kursus keterampilan, Barista, Komputer dan bahasa asing.
“Saya sebagai pimpinan menghimbau kepada masyarakat untuk mendaftarkan diri gratis bergabung mengikuti keterampilan Barista dan komputer,” imbuhnya.
Tak lupa Dra Libora br Lumbantoruan mendoakan pemerintah Propinsi Sumatera Utara semakin maju dan sukses dalam merawat kebhinekaan masyarakat untuk lebih makmur dan sejahtera.
KERINDUAN YANG SUDAH LAMA DITUNGGU
Kedatangan Pj Gubsu diwakili Sekda Propsu Arief Sudarto Trinugroho dan Kadis Pendidikan Abdul Haris Lubis ke Yayasan Sinar Agape No.18 mendapat tanggapan positif dari aktivis kemasyarakatan Kota Medan, Muhammad Abdi Siahaan.

Pria yang akrab disapa Wak Genk itu menilai kedatangan Sekda dan Kadis pendidikan Propsu sudah lama ditunggu. Selama 15 tahun berdiri baru kali ini Sekda dan Kadis Pendidikan melihat langsung anak-anak asuhan Yayasan Sinar Agape.
“Sebagai anak tentu sangat bahagia bila didatangi ayah dan ibu dan tentu akan menjadi motivasi buat Yayasan untuk tetap berkarya,” ujar Abdi.
Aktivis yang telah banyak membantu masyarakat terutama disaat pendemi Covit 19 itu berharap agar Gubernur Sumut dan Dinas Pendidikan tetap memberi perhatian kepada anak-anak yang kurang mampu khususnya asuhan Yayasan Sinar Agape.
“Kita tentu berharap Pempropsu dan Dinas Pendidikan selalu memberi perhatian tidak hanya pada saat HUT Pempropsu karena bagaimanapun Yayasan Sinar Agape dengan segala keterbatasan masih bisa mengasuh 600 orang. Dengan kondisi ini, tentu sangat mengharapkan bantuan pemerintah,” kata Muh Abdi Siahaan.
Wak Geng juga mengapresiasi pimpinan Yayasan Sinar Agape yang dengan jerih payahnya mampu membantu pemerintah Propinsi Sumut dan Pemko Medan mengasuh anak-anak yang tidak mampu untuk dididik secara gratis.(jos).
