USU Raih Akreditasi Unggul

INVOCAVIT.COM, MEDAN – Universitas Sumatera Utara (USU) berhasil meraih Akreditasi Unggul dari Badan Akreditasi Nasional Perguruan Tinggi (BAN-PT) yang tertuang dalam sertifikat BAN-PT No. 1517/SK/BAN-PT/Ak.KP/PT/IX/2022, yang ditandatangani Dewan Eksekutif Prof. Ari Purbayanto, PhD. Sertifikat akreditasi perguruan tinggi ini berlaku sejak tanggal 27  September 2022 sampai dengan 27 Februari 2023.

Rektor USU Dr Muryanto Amin, SSos, MSi mengatakan, Akreditasi Unggul merupakan peringkat akreditasi tertinggi yang diperoleh perguruan tinggi yang memenuhi kriteria BAN-PT.

“Alhamdulillah berkat kolaborasi di setiap unit kerja mulai dari level program studi sampai universitas, kita berhasil memenuhi syarat-syarat yang ditetapkan sehingga berhasil meraih Akreditasi Unggul,” ujar Muryanto Amin dalam keterangannya, Rabu (28/9/2022).

Rektor berharap raihan Akreditasi Unggul dari BAN-PT tersebut mampu menjadi penyemangat seluruh sivitas akademika untuk terus memberikan yang terbaik bagi Universitas Sumatera Utara.

“Proses akreditasi saat ini dipantau secara rutin setiap bulan melalui Pangkalan Data Perguruan Tinggi (PDDikti). Sehingga kita harus tetap menjaga semangat dalam melaksanakan tugas-tugas Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi,” jelas Mury.

Akreditasi Unggul diperoleh karena sumbangan seluruh unit kerja yang ada di USU baik Anggota Majelis Wali Amanat (MWA), Senat Akademik (SA), Dewan Guru Besar (DGB), dosen, mahasiswa, alumni, dan mitra USU.

“Masih diperlukan kerja yang fokus dan konsisten agar kita semua bisa memproduksi karya inovasi masing-masing untuk mencapai perbaikan USU menuju 500 QS WUR. Terima kasih atas kerja sama yang dilakukan dan semoga tetap terus bekerja dalam suasana nyaman dan damai agar kita terus produktif,” katanya.

Sebagai informasi, perguruan tinggi atau program studi yang mendapatkan Akreditasi Unggul adalah perguruan tinggi yang sangat baik mengenai prestasi yang ada di dalamnya dan mendapatkan skor lebih dari 361 serta memenuhi Syarat Perlu Peringkat Unggul.

Ada beberapa syarat untuk mendapatkan predikat Akreditasi Unggul, di antaranya terdapat bukti yang sahih terkait praktik baik pengembangan budaya meneliti di perguruan tinggi, adanya perolehan status akreditasi program studi, terjadinya efektivitas pelaksanaan, dan jumlah publikasi di jurnal dalam 3 tahun terakhir.

Berdasarkan data dari BAN-PT, saat ini baru 27 perguruan tinggi di Indonesia yang meraih Akreditasi Unggul. USU yang baru saja berhasil meraih predikat Akreditasi Unggul kemudian menggenapkan, sehingga kini jumlah yang berakreditasi unggul menjadi 28 perguruan tinggi. (Ki)
