Minyak merah ditemukan mulai menyentuh pelaku usaha mikro, kecil dan menengah (UMKM) di Kota Medan. Teranyar, demo masak menggunakan produk sehat itu digelar di aula Kantor Kelurahan Tegal Sari II Kecamatan Medan Denai.

Demo itu diketahui melibatkan warga dan sejumlah pelaku UMKM.
“Hari ini minyak merah disosialisasi di Kelurahan Tegal Sari II,” terang Manager Pabrik Minyak Merah Pagar Merbau Koperasi Pujakesuma, Rony Lesmana, SH., MH., Kamis ((31/7/2025).

Kepada wartawan, Rony menjelaskan tentang manfaat minyak merah sebagai bagian dari
program hilirisasi kelapa sawit yang dicanangkan pemerintah.

“Selain kaya akan vitamin A dan E
minyak merah juga bisa dipakai sampai 8 kali penggorengan,” imbuhnya.

Menurutnya,  demo masak dengan minyak merah digelar guna mendukung program pemerintah tentang kewajiban sertifikasi halal tahun 2026 bagi para pelaku UMKM. Sekaligus mengenalkan produk pangan sehat
hasil inovasi dalam negeri. (ril/afm)
