INVOCAVIT.COM, KARO- Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) Kab Karo mengadakan rapat evaluasi perolehan medali pada Porprovsu ( Pekan Olah Raga Provinsi Sumatera Utara) ke XI tahun 2022 di Lapangan GOR ( Gedung Olah Raga) Serbaguna Medan pada tanggal 27 Oktober – 05 November 2022.
Rapat evaluasi dihadiri seluruh pengurus dan pelatih Cabang Olahraga ( Cabor) yang ikut serta di dalam pertandingan Porprovsu bersama Dinas Kebudayaan, Pemuda dan Olah Raga serta Pariwisata Kabupaten Karo pada Senin ( 7/11) sekira pukul 19.00 WIB di Restaurant Hotel Suite Pakar Berastagi.
Dalam rapat tersebut, Ketua Binpres ( Pembina Prestasi) KONI Karo yang juga ketua Kontingen saat acara Porprovsu yakni Nasional Barus SPd mengatakan, pada Porprovsu kemarin KONI Karo berhasil mendapat peringkat ke 4 Sumut, dengan perolehan 16 mendali Emas, 23 Perak dan 17 Perunggu yang di ikuti 13 Cabor dari Karo.
“Kita sangat menyayangkan Gulat tidak ikut di pertandingkan karena tahun sebelumnya Gulat memperoleh banyak mendali emas namun di tahun ini gulat di tiadakan,” kesalnya.
Kendati demikian, sambung Nasional, kita patut bersyukur masih bisa mendapat peringkat 4 besar, mengingat faktor pendukung sangat minim di Kabupaten kita di banding Kabupaten lain.
“Kalau para Atlet kita sebenarnya cukup mampu untuk bersaing. Dari pengamatan saya fasilitas, sarana prasarana latihan, sangat mempengaruhi mental dan kemampuan atlit saat bertanding. Maka dari itu kita sangat mengharapakan dukungan serta kepedulian pihak Pemerintah dan swasta untuk menunjang prestasi para atlit ungkapnya,” ungkapnya.
Ketua KONI Karo Ramon Sinuhaji juga mengatakan, kekecewaannya dengan tidak diikutkannya cabor gulat yang merupakan cabor penyabet medali terbanyak tahun sebelumnya.
“Kita cukup puas dalam pertandingan kemarin, sayang sekali cabor penyabet mendali emas tidak ikut di pertandingkan seperti kata pak Nasional Barus tadi. Namun biar pun begitu kita masih bisa meraih peringkat ke 4. Setelah mengevaluasi hal tersebut, untuk pertandingan berikutnya saya yakin kita akan lebih baik lagi,” ujarnya.
Dia menyampaikan terima kasih kepada seluruh stake holder yang sudah terlibat dalam pertandingan tersebut, terkhusus kepada pelatih Cabor dan Atlit yang sudah ikut bertanding tetap semangat dan semakin tekun berlatih. Dalam waktu dekat akan kita berikan tali asih khusus kepada Atlit yang sudah berprastasi, untuk Cabor yang belum berhasil kiranya jangan berkecil hati bila nanti belum mendapat tali asih,” katanya.
Ketua Koni berharap Disbudporapar Kab Karo yang diwakili Kabid Hendra Bangun untuk bisa berkolaborasi untuk kedepannya memajukan olah raga di Kabupaten ini.
Hendra Bangun juga mengakui, untuk kedepannya akan bersinergi dalam kemajuan olah raga di Karo. Baik segi program pelatihan dasar, peningkatan fasilitas sarana dan prasarana olah raga.
