MEDAN, INVOCAVIT.COM – Dibeberapa lokasi terdampak bencana banjir dilakukan Pemungutan Suara Susulan (PSS) seperti di Desa Piasa Ulu, Kecamatan Tinggi Raja, Kabupaten Asahan, dan juga Desa Sena, Desa Tumpatan Nibung, dan Desa Dalu X B, kecamatan Batang Kuis Kabupaten Deli Serdang pada Minggu (01/12/2024).
PSS ini dilakukan setelah sebelumnya pemungutan suara tertunda akibat banjir. Meskipun curah hujan masih tinggi dan sebagian area TPS masih tergenang air seperti di Asahan, pemungutan suara tetap berlangsung dengan lancar.
Personel Polres Asahan, bersama petugas pemilu lainnya, bekerja sama memastikan proses ini berjalan aman dan demokratis, sehingga masyarakat dapat menyalurkan hak pilihnya tanpa hambatan.
Selain di Asahan, pengamanan serupa juga dilakukan di Kabupaten Deliserdang. Sebanyak tiga desa terdampak banjir, yakni Desa Sena, Desa Tumpatan Nibung, dan Desa Dalu X-B, melaksanakan PSS dan Pemungutan Suara Lanjutan (PSL).
Empat TPS di dua desa terakhir menggelar PSS, yaitu TPS IX dan X di Desa Dalu X-B, serta TPS VIII dan X di Desa Tumpatan Nibung. Sementara itu, PSL dilaksanakan di TPS II Desa Sena, Kecamatan Batang Kuis. Polres setempat memastikan proses pemungutan suara di wilayah tersebut berlangsung tertib, meski di tengah tantangan cuaca yang kurang bersahabat.
Kapolda Sumut Irjen Pol Whisnu Hermawan Februanto, S.I.K., M.H., melalui Kabid Humas Polda Sumut Kombes Pol Hadi Wahyudi, menyampaikan apresiasi kepada personel yang bertugas di lapangan. “Kami mengapresiasi dedikasi seluruh personel yang mengawal jalannya pemungutan suara di tengah situasi sulit akibat banjir. Polda Sumut berkomitmen untuk menjaga kelancaran dan keamanan seluruh tahapan pemilu, sehingga masyarakat dapat menjalankan hak pilihnya dengan nyaman dan aman,” ujar Kombes Hadi.
