Medan, INVOCAVIT.COM: Tim Unit Reskrim Polsek Medan Timur menangkap dua pelaku pencurian kabel listrik di Underpass Jl.HM Yamin Medan, yang dikenal sebagai “Rayap Besi” di Jalan Jawa, Kelurahan Gang Buntu, Kecamatan Medan Timur.
Kedua pelaku “Rayap Besi” yang ditangkap itu berinisial berinisial ES (35) warga Jalan Veteran dan ASL (40) warga Jalan Gaharu, Kecamatan Medan Timur. Dari tangan kedua pelaku disita barang bukti berupa obeng, tang dan pisau carter.
Kanit Reskrim Polsek Medan Timur, Iptu Fajri Lubis, mengatakan awalnya personel Unit Reskrim Polsek Medan Timur menerima informasi telah terjadi pencurian kabel tiang listrik telah dicuri pada Oktober 2025 lalu.
“Setelah menerima laporan itu personel melakukan penyelidikan dengan memeriksa sejumlah saksi. Hasilnya dua orang pelaku dapat diamankan di seputaran Jalan Timor,” katanya, Senin (3/11).
Lebih lanjut, Fajri mengungkapkan berdasarkan hasil pemeriksaan kedua pelaku itu mengakui telah mencuri kabel besi tiang listrik milik Pemko Medan yang berada di Underpass Jalan HM Yamin.
“Untuk mempertanggungjawabkan perbuatannya kedua pelaku bersama barang bukti telah ditahan di Mapolsek Medan Timur dan terancam hukuman lima tahun kurungan penjara,” pungkasnya.***
