Peristiwa itu diketahui, saat mantan Ketua PWI Sumut Hermasjah menghubunginya via telepon seluler. Hermansjah mencoba mengonfirmasi tawaran emas Antam dari akun palsu WhatsApp tersebut kepada Darwis.
Dengan tegas, pria yang biasa disapa Yong itu menepis hal tersebut kepada Hermansjah. “Terkejut aku pas ditelepon bang Hermansjah. Ada akun WhatsApp yang menggunakan foto saya dan mengaku sebagai Darwis Sinulingga menawarkan emas Antam,” terangnya kepada awak media.
Setelah mengklarifikasi hal itu, kata Darwis, kemudian Hermansjah memblokir nomor tersebut. Alhasil, transaksi jual beli logam mulia itupun tak rampung dilakukan oleh oknum yang tidak bertanggungjawap tersebut. Namun, hal itu sudah sempat membuat Darwis geram dan merasa dirugikan.
“Kepada rekan-rekan atau siapapun yang dimintai sesuatu dengan menawarkan barang atau produk apapun. Jangan dilayani karena itu adalah penipuan yang mengunakan nama ketua PWI Langkat.
