Wali Kota Medan Rico Waas Terima Poto bersama dengan Panitia Natal PWI Sumut dirumh dinas, Rabu (17/12).(ist).
Medan, INVOCAVIT.COM: Wali Kota Medan, Rico Tri Putra Bayu Waas, menegaskan bahwa pembangunan Kota Medan tidak akan terwujud tanpa sinergitas seluruh elemen masyarakat yang beragam. Penegasan tersebut disampaikannya saat menerima audiensi Panitia Natal Persatuan Wartawan Indonesia (PWI) Provinsi Sumatera Utara Tahun 2025, Rabu (17/12/2025), di Rumah Dinas Wali Kota Medan.
Dalam pertemuan tersebut, Rico Waas menekankan pentingnya persatuan dan kebersamaan sebagai fondasi utama pembangunan daerah. Menurutnya, keberagaman suku, agama, dan budaya yang dimiliki Kota Medan merupakan aset besar yang harus dijaga dan dirawat bersama.
“Pembangunan Kota Medan tidak bisa dilakukan tanpa sinergitas dari keberagaman yang ada. Semua harus bersatu, menjunjung kebersamaan, dan memahami bahwa keberagaman adalah aset,” ujar Rico Waas.
Wali Kota Medan didampingi oleh Kepala Bidang Kesejahteraan Rakyat (Kesra) Agus, S.Ag, serta Kepala Bidang Komunikasi Publik Dr. Budi Ansari Lubis. Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Rico Waas juga menyampaikan bahwa kondisi Sumatera Utara saat ini masih dalam tahap pemulihan pascabencana banjir yang melanda sejumlah wilayah.
Oleh karena itu, Pemko Medan berharap dukungan doa dari seluruh lapisan masyarakat, termasuk melalui perayaan Natal, agar daerah ini dapat segera pulih dan kembali bangkit.
Ia juga menegaskan pentingnya kebersamaan dan komunikasi yang baik antara pemerintah dan masyarakat. “Pemko Medan ingin terus berkomunikasi dengan baik dengan seluruh elemen masyarakat. Untuk kegiatan Natal PWI Sumut, kami akan membantu sesuai dengan kemampuan dan anggaran yang ada,” jelasnya.
Sementara itu, Panitia Natal PWI Sumut yang hadir terdiri dari Ketua Charles Daulay, Wakil Ketua Wilfrid B. Sinaga, S.H., Penasehat Panitia Josmarlin Tambunan, Sekretaris Ramli Sarumaha, dan Bendahara Toga Pasaribu.
Panitia menyampaikan bahwa Perayaan Natal PWI Sumut Tahun 2025 akan dilaksanakan pada Jumat, 19 Desember 2025, bertempat di Hotel Danau Toba Internasional Medan. Kegiatan tersebut akan diisi dengan ibadah Natal serta bakti sosial yang melibatkan wartawan lintas organisasi.***
